National Organisation for People Living with Hepatitis B Receives Crucial Support for Community Testing and Vaccination Drive.

In a significant boost to community healthcare, The National Organisation for People Living with Hepatitis B has received a donation of hepatitis B test kits from the Crane Survey Project team under Makerere University School of Public Health.

This donation will support the organization's upcoming free mass testing and vaccination event for residents within and around Kasese Municipality.

"We are thrilled to receive this donation, which will help us make a significant impact in our community," said Kenneth Kabagambe Owa Kyoghero, Executive Director of The National Organisation for People Living with Hepatitis B. "Our medical camp aims to provide an opportunity for our people to know their health status and link those who need medical attention to care."

The event will offer a range of services, including free hepatitis B testing and vaccination, sickle cell disease testing, and high blood pressure screening. Participants will also receive a wristband from the organization.

"We are grateful for the continued support towards our work to serve Ugandans," added Kabagambe. "We will announce the medical camp road map in the next few days after confirming more services."

This initiative highlights the importance of community collaboration in improving healthcare outcomes and promoting wellness for all.
