"We are grateful to the Ugandan government for maintaining peace in the region," said Joseph Muhindo Ntoku Legha, a representative of the Bakonzo people. "We request that Omusinga Mumbere, our cultural leader, promote education among our students. Education is key to our development, and we need support to ensure our children receive quality education."

The Bakonzo community, also known as the Banande, is an ethnic group located in the Rwenzori region of Southwest Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. They have a rich cultural heritage and have been involved in efforts to promote peace and education in the region.

Omusinga Wa Rwenzururu Mumbere Iremangoma Wisely Charles, the cultural leader of the Bakonzo, emphasized the importance of unity and cultural preservation. "Let us unite and work together for our common good. We appreciate the Nande people in Dr. Congo for promoting our cultural heritage, including our language and names."

The Bakonzo community's plea for peace and education is a significant step towards regional cooperation and development. As Kambale Migheri Jean Baptiste, a Director at Assumption University of Congo, noted, "Exposing our students to opportunities in Uganda and promoting peace in the region is crucial for our development."

Fazila Mudogo Lardie, a student at Assumption University of Congo, echoed this sentiment, saying, "I have learned so much about coronation ceremonies and the beauty of Uganda. This experience has broadened my horizons and shown me the importance of regional cooperation."
