Rwenzururu Royal Couple Celebrates 17 Years of Love and Unity
In a heartwarming display of commitment and devotion, Omusinga Charles Wisely Mumbere Iremangoma and his beloved wife, Nyabaghole Agnes Ithungu Asimawe, celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary amidst joy and pomp at Rwenzori International Hotel.
"The love and support of my wife has been a blessing to our kingdom," Omusinga Charles Wisely Mumbere Iremangoma said, beaming with pride. "She is a true partner and mother to our royal family and subjects."
The Omusinga explained that Nyabaghole's entrance into the kingdom was a struggle, recounting how he was asked to marry in the 2000s but faced difficulties until his mother intervened. He praised Nyabaghole for showing love to the royal family, subjects, and others.
Omusinga Charles Wisely Mumbere Iremangoma also used the occasion to challenge the public against domestic violence in families, encouraging cooperation instead.
Nyabaghole Agnes Ithungu Asimawe thanked the King for choosing her, vowing to continue loving him in happiness and challenges. She recommitted to mobilizing women to promote peace, unity, and development in the kingdom, encouraging mothers to work for their families and nurture their children's talents.
Rev. Jahnocation Mirabyo , of South Rwenzori Diocese, appreciated Omusinga for maintaining a loving relationship with Nyabaghole, urging others to love and support their children.
The royal children congratulated their parents, thanking them for parental love, discipline, and knowledge.
Hon. Kule Baritazara Benson, Deputy Prime Minister of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu, announced plans to develop a cultural tourism center at the former royal hill, aimed at attracting revenue to the kingdom.
The 17th Royal Wedding anniversary which was held yesterday at Rwenzori International Hotel was attended by numerous dignitaries.
