Humility and Collaboration Key to Effective Ministry, Say Bishops
In a powerful call to action, two bishops urged religious leaders to humble themselves and share their experiences to enhance their ministry. Rt. Rev. Prof. Alfred Olwa, Bishop of Lango Diocese, and Bishop Nason Baluku of South Rwenzori Diocese, spoke at a convention in St. Paul's Cathedral, emphasizing the importance of humility and collaboration in serving God and humanity.
"Humility is key to unlocking our potential as servants of God. Let us strive to humble ourselves and serve with diligence and passion," Bishop Olwa said. "Remember, humility is a vital virtue in our calling as servants of God."
Bishop Baluku added, "Let us embrace this chance to learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses, and let our shared experiences enrich our ministry. Together, we can achieve greater things in the service of God and humanity."
The convention, which brings together lay leaders, Reverends, and their spouses from across the diocese, aims to inspire and equip them for effective ministry. As Bishop Olwa stressed, "It's essential to maintain a humble attitude and continue to work diligently in the service of God."
By emphasizing humility and collaboration, the bishops set the tone for a transformative convention that promises to empower religious leaders to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
