Father Kanyonza Memorial School Hima Appoints New Coach for Girls' Football Team

Father Kanyonza Memorial School Hima is pleased to announce the appointment of Mumbere Charles, also known as Coach Kante, as the new coach of the girls' football team.

Coach Kante brings a wealth of experience to the role, having honed his skills at Kamaiba Soccer Academy. He will report for duty on January 13th, 2025, and will be responsible for developing the girls' football program at the school.

The Deputy Head Teacher, Tumwiringira Ivan, welcomed Coach Kante to the school community and emphasized the school's commitment to supporting the development of the girl child, both academically and in sports.

"We are excited to have Coach Kante on board and look forward to seeing the positive impact he will have on our girls' football team," said Tumwiringira Ivan. "We are committed to providing our students with the best possible opportunities to succeed, and we believe that Coach Kante will play a key role in helping us achieve this goal."

Coach Kante expressed his enthusiasm for the project and his commitment to building a strong foundation for success.

"I am thrilled to be joining the Father Kanyonza Memorial School Hima community and look forward to working with the students to develop their football skills," said Coach Kante. "I am impressed by the school's commitment to supporting the development of the girl child, and I am excited to be a part of this initiative."

Father Kanyonza Memorial School Hima is a private school located in Kinyamwengye Village, Karungibati Parish, Hima Town Council, Kasese District, along Kanyemera Road. The school was established in February 2020 and offers a comprehensive education to students from nursery to secondary level.

Bernard Cheptoch and Rachel Chebet Zena are the Champions for the 4th Edition of Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon.

It was attended by runners from 35 countries, highlighting how the Marathon is international. Hon. Kasese Catholic Diocese Permitted to Run Mt. St. Mary’s College of Health Sciences.

Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Health has accredited Kasese Catholic Diocese to run Mt. St. Mary’s College of Health Sciences in a move to improve healthcare in the country. The institution that will run under Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital is meant to produce health workers who are God fearing and dedicated to their services. Mr. Joseph Kule Nzukwa, the Chairperson for the Governing Council for the institution explain that the government positively responded to their application for running a college at the diocesan headquarters.
