Kasese District Witnesses Unprecedented Boost in Community Development as GoodLuck Sports Foundation Uganda Takes Center Stage
Kasese, Uganda - In a groundbreaking move, GoodLuck Sports Foundation Uganda is revolutionizing community development in Kasese district, bringing together residents, leaders, and stakeholders to promote unity, education, and physical fitness.
GoodLuck Sports Foundation Uganda, on 22nd December 2024 held half marathon and sports gala competition at Kitswamba Boma Grounds in Kitswamba Town Council which was on theme titled "Sports for Tourism and Peace"
Hon. Sowedi Kitanywa, Member of Parliament for Busongora County North, is praising the foundation for hosting a successful event that brings people together. "I appreciate GoodLuck Sports Foundation Uganda for organizing such an event because it's promoting unity, education as well as enhancing body fitness," Kitanywa says.
Kitanywa emphasizes the importance of supporting education, urging parents to provide essential materials for their children. "I'm thankful for the efforts done by GoodLuck Sports Foundation for their love towards supporting education. I urge parents to also continue supporting the education of their children," he says.
GoodLuck Bwambale, Director of GoodLuck Sports Foundation Uganda, highlights the organization's mission. "The purpose of our organization is to promote indoor and outdoor games amongst the youth of varied backgrounds for health, gender equity, and social-economic transformation."
Bwambale emphasizes the foundation's holistic approach, saying, "We're not just focusing on sports, but also on education and economic empowerment. We're engaging parents to provide food for their children and encouraging farmers to enhance value addition of crops."
The foundation is also prioritizing environmental conservation, with Bwambale urging the public to "continue planting trees for the good of our communities. This is one way of controlling climatic changes like drought."
Elder Muhindo Joshua, Field Treasurer of SDA Rwenzori Field, pledges support for the GoodLuck Sports Foundation. "We pledge to continue supporting sports, tourism, and environmental conservation in the region," Joshua says.
Mukwenda Ronald, District Councillor for Kitswamba Town Council, encourages the public to utilize public events to promote their businesses and benefit from community tourism. "I encourage the public to use public events to promote their businesses as one way of benefiting from community tourism," Ronald says.
In related news, Kule Jockim, a resident of Kitswamba Town Council and student at Kuruhe High School, is emerging as the winner of the 15km Kitswamba Half Marathon. "Running is my career," Jockim says. "I participated in the 2nd Edition of the Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon."
Muhindo Fortunate, Miss Tourism Rwenzori 2024/25, is also making an appearance, promoting environmental conservation by planting a tree at Boma grounds, Kitswamba Town Council. "I encourage ladies to always participate in such activities and set up projects to enable them earn money," Fortunate says.
GoodLuck Sports Foundation commits to continue enhancing sports, development and unity in Kasese.
