Kasese Students Fraternity Brings Together Students and Leaders to Discuss Education, Opportunities, and Community Development
Kasese, Uganda - The Kasese Students Fraternity recently hosted a successful gathering, bringing together students and leaders to discuss education, opportunities, and community development.
Speaking at the event, Agaba Murokole, President of the Kasese United Students Fraternity, emphasized the importance of education in bringing glory to Kasese. "We aim to unite students to share challenges, problems, and ideas on navigating the changing society," he said.
The fraternity has established a Sacco to provide financial support to students, enabling them to pursue their studies without financial burdens. Mbusa Jodra, a student at Mountains of the Moon University, highlighted the benefits of the Sacco, saying it would help students access funds and bursaries to support their education.
Agaba Obed, a representative from St. Matthias School of Nursing and Midwifery, encouraged parents to support their children's education and announced that the school offers bursaries to deserving students.
Guest speakers, including Nyamunungu Patrick Thembo, aspiring mayor for Kasese municipality, and Lt. Joe Walusimbi, Kasese Resident District Commissioner, urged students to stay focused, work hard, and maintain discipline. Lt. Walusimbi also presented a donation of UGX 1 million to support the students.
The event was hailed as a significant step towards promoting education and empowering students in the region. The Kasese Students Fraternity's initiative has brought together students and leaders, fostering a collaborative approach to addressing the challenges facing young people in Kasese.
