PRESIDENT MUSEVENI LEADS CHARGE ON UNITY, DEVELOPMENT, AND SECURITY IN KASESE
Kasese, Uganda - In a series of events showcasing his commitment to unity, development, and security, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni reaffirmed his pledge to safeguard churches and faith-based organizations, launched a major infrastructure project, and rallied the community to work together towards a brighter future.
The President's commitment to security was conveyed by Hon. Godfrey Baluku Kabyanga Kiime, State Minister for ICT and National Guidance, during the ordination ceremony of Bishop John Bahebwa of the International Christian Festival in Kasese.
Bishop Bahebwa urged believers to remain steadfast in their faith and work towards building a united and prosperous community.
In a separate event, President Museveni led a historic Thanksgiving celebration at Kaguta Grounds in Nyakatonzi Kasese District, and launched the construction of 38.4 km Kikorongo-Bwera road, a vital link for Kasese's economic activities.
Museveni encouraged farmers to shift to high-value crops like coffee and fruits, which have a higher return on investment.
The people of Kasese expressed their gratitude to the President for his leadership and development initiatives in the region.
The Thanksgiving celebration was a testament to Kasese's recognition of Museveni's leadership. The large turnout symbolized unity and the collective aspiration for continued progress.
Residents celebrated the commissioning of the Kikorongo-Bwera road as a game-changer for their economic fortunes, while the speeches emphasized loyalty to the President and his vision for Uganda.
