President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni attributes Uganda's peaceful state to God, a strong army, and a supportive population.

"Uganda remains peaceful on account of God, a strong Army, the other sister security services and a supportive population," President Museveni says.

The President also acknowledges the challenges posed by terrorism, citing the recent attack by ADF terrorists..

As 2025 begins, President Museveni emphasizes the need to address various pressing issues, including theft and security.

"We are empowering communities to guard their property... By activating the LDUs, we will ensure that farmers and other wealth creators can protect their hard-earned resources from criminal elements," he states.

On the issue of coffee quality, President Museveni urges Ugandans to maintain high standards, saying, "Uganda's reputation in the global coffee market relies on quality. Practices such as prematurely harvesting green coffee harm this reputation."

The President also addresses the issue of idle youth, saying, "Idle youth loitering in trading centres must be redirected towards honest work.

On criminal justice, President Museveni emphasizes the need for rehabilitation, stating, "It is not enough to incarcerate criminals. We must equip them with skills and opportunities to create wealth and jobs when they return to society."

Finally, the President vows to take decisive action against livestock theft, saying, "I am banning police bonds for thieves when cases are ready for trial. Police officers who issue such bonds will be held accountable.
