ASP Ngelese revealed that the boy mentioned his mother was arrested by police, and his father was murdered, suggesting possible domestic violence. "We are appealing to the public to help us locate the child's parents," ASP Ngelese said.

This incident is one of over 10 cases of missing children reported in Kasese District since the beginning of the year, with most victims being between 3-10 years old. ASP Ngelese emphasized the importance of parents teaching their children their names and contact information for proper identification in case they get lost.

A Good Samaritan, Paius Muhindo, who found the child behind the Nyakasanga West Local Council offices, has been taking care of him but is urging the public to help locate the child's family as he prepares to return to school. "I am calling upon whoever can help to locate the parents of this child," Muhindo said.
