Rwenzori East Region FC Thrashes Rwenzori TV 3-0 in Friendly Match

Kasese, Uganda - Rwenzori East Region FC ( Police )secured a resounding 3-0 victory against Rwenzori TV in a friendly match held at Nyakasanga Playground in Kasese Municipality yesterday.

The highly anticipated match, which kicked off at 11:00 am, drew hundreds of football enthusiasts from the region. Notable attendees included the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Kasese District, Lt. JB Walusimbi, and senior police officers.

Rwenzori East Region FC's goals were scored by Police Constable Omutuju Bilali, PC Wamboga Jackson, and SP Nyanzi Dennis. The regional police commander, SSP Odoch Dennis, played a crucial role in the match, providing a professional pass that led to one of the goals.

According to SSP Muhumuza Alex, who played in the match, Rwenzori East Region FC is poised to win the upcoming IGP Cup Tournament 2nd Edition, citing their impressive record of winning matches in and outside Kasese.

The friendly match served as a testament to the team's skills and teamwork, and fans are eagerly anticipating their future performances.

It was attended by runners from 35 countries, highlighting how the Marathon is international. Hon. Kasese Catholic Diocese Permitted to Run Mt. St. Mary’s College of Health Sciences.

Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Health has accredited Kasese Catholic Diocese to run Mt. St. Mary’s College of Health Sciences in a move to improve healthcare in the country. The institution that will run under Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital is meant to produce health workers who are God fearing and dedicated to their services. Mr. Joseph Kule Nzukwa, the Chairperson for the Governing Council for the institution explain that the government positively responded to their application for running a college at the diocesan headquarters.
