A team of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Ministries Completes Alternative Justice Systems Training

A significant milestone was achieved by the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Kingdom as a delegation from the kingdom successfully completed a training program in Alternative Justice Systems (AJS) and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

The training, held from June 11-12, 2025, at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala, equipped the team with expertise in mediation, arbitration, and reconciliation.

Led by Prime Minister Rt. Hon Benson Kule Baritazale, the team included Attorney General and Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs Ow'Ek. Alfred Makasi, and Minister of Information, Mobilization and Kingdom Spokesperson Ow'Ek. Geofrery Kanyonyi. The team was certified by the Justice Training Institute (JTI) of Uganda.

The training, conducted by renowned Court of Appeal Judge from Kenya, Hon. Mr. Justice (Prof.) Joel Ngugi, aimed to bring justice services closer to the people, reducing reliance on formal courts.

The event was officially opened by Chief Justice of Uganda, Alfonse Owiny Dolo, this initiative is poised to enhance justice delivery in Uganda, with the Rwenzururu Kingdom team now empowered to promote and provide AJS and ADR services, contributing to improved access to justice for all.

Kasese Mourns : Senior Four Candidate Dies at Bwera SS

The deceased is identified as Nabasire Sulaina Index Number U0436/200 has been studying at Bwera Secondary School.  She passed away suddenly last night. The student, had sat for two UNEB papers exams just yesterday, was rushed to Bwera Hospital after experiencing terminal agitation but unfortunately died upon arrival.
