"Be Vigilant, Report Suspicious Activity": Police Issue Security Advisory for Eid Celebrations

The Rwenzori East Police has advised Muslims to exercise caution during tomorrow's Eid celebrations, urging the community to collaborate with authorities to ensure a safe and peaceful observance.

According to SP Nelson Tumusiime, Police Spokesperson, security personnel will be deployed to provide protection and maintain order. "We urge the Muslim community to report any suspicious individuals or activities during the celebrations," SP Tumusiime said in a press briefing at his office.

The police spokesperson also advised Muslims to be mindful of their surroundings, particularly in places of worship and entertainment, and to be cautious of strangers with malicious intentions.
