Rwenzori Kampala International University Students Association Held Handover Ceremony and Welcoming Party for Freshers Aiming at Promoting at Unity, Culture and Identity

Kampala International University's Rwenzori Kampala International University Students Association (RWEKIUSA) recently held a handover ceremony and welcoming party for freshers. The event marked a significant milestone in the association's history, as outgoing leaders handed over the reins to the new cabinet for the 2025-2026 term.

The new cabinet, led by President Mumbere Alvin, consists of 17 members, including Vice President Biira Sylivia, Speaker Muhindo Umaru, and other key officials. In his inaugural speech, President Mumbere outlined the association's vision and goals for the coming term, emphasizing unity, service, and excellence.

The president highlighted five key pillars that will guide the association's activities: Unity and Belonging, Academic and Professional Support, Welfare and Wellbeing, Culture and Identity, and Partnership and Growth. He pledged to lead with transparency, inclusivity, accountability, and excellence, and encouraged all members to work together to achieve their goals.

The event also provided an opportunity for the association to welcome freshers and introduce them to the RWEKIUSA family. The president extended a warm welcome to the new students, encouraging them to participate, contribute, and make their voices heard.

The handover ceremony was a celebration of the outgoing leaders' achievements and a testament to the association's commitment to continuity and progress. With the new cabinet in place, RWEKIUSA is poised to continue its mission to support and empower students from the Rwenzori region at Kampala International University.
