Kasese University Students Launch Community Outreach Programme, Seek Sponsorship

The Kasese University Students’ Association (KUSA) has launched a call for sponsorship and partnership ahead of its 2026 Community Outreach and Development Programme aimed at promoting environmental conservation, humanitarian support, and youth empowerment in Kasese District.

The three-day programme, running from 24th to 26th July 2026 under the theme “Educated Hands, Transformed Communities,” is expected to attract over 200 university students from across Uganda who share roots and interests in Kasese.

According to the programme outline, students will engage in a number of community-centered activities including a clean-up exercise in Kasese Town and Mawa Market, humanitarian outreach at Muhokya IDP Camp, and tree planting at the Royal Hill of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu.

Other activities will include a students’ conference and development dialogue, a gala dinner and cultural celebration, a royal palace visit to Buhikira Palace, as well as football and netball tournaments aimed at promoting unity among the youth.

KUSA is targeting to raise UGX 20 million to facilitate the programme and has invited companies, organizations, and individuals to partner in the initiative through different sponsorship packages ranging from Platinum to Friend of Kasese categories.

Organizers say the programme will not only create visible corporate social responsibility impact across Kasese District but also strengthen youth leadership, environmental awareness, and humanitarian support within communities.

The association emphasized transparency and accountability in the utilization of funds and called upon well-wishers to support the initiative.

KUSA can be contacted through kasesestudents@gmail.com or via +256 766 651611 and +256 760 011740 for sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
