In a dramatic move, Kasese Agricultural Extension Worker, Mr. Asanaire Bukanywa, has ordered the burning of unripe coffee worth thousands, found in Kiddo Cell, Kasese Municipality. The coffee, belonging to Godwin Masereka, a resident of Kidodo Cell, was reduced to ashes in a bid to enforce quality control measures. The incident occurred today after the surveillance team notified Mr. Bukanywa of unripe coffee being sold in the area. Upon arrival, he found the coffee and warned that he would work with the police to apprehend anyone found selling unripe coffee, citing the Coffee Act.
