Galactical FC Vows to Bounce Back After Disappointing Loss

Kasese, Uganda - Mabira T/C FC, also known as Galactical FC, has expressed disappointment over their recent loss to Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC in the Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup. The club's management and players have vowed to work towards better performance and make amends in their upcoming match against Tooro Kahuna FC in Fort Portal on March 1, 2025. "We appreciate the support of our fans, sponsors, and partners during this tournament. Although the result was not what we expected, we promise to give our best in the next match," said Sem Anderson Masereka, the club's representative. Despite the loss, the club reported a profit of UGX 1,534,500 from gate collections, T-shirt sales, and well-wishers. Coffee Worth Thousands Reduced to Ashes: Kasese Agricultural Extension Worker Cracks Down on Unripe Coffee.

In a dramatic move, Kasese Agricultural Extension Worker, Mr. Asanaire Bukanywa, has ordered the burning of unripe coffee worth thousands, found in Kiddo Cell, Kasese Municipality. The coffee, belonging to Godwin Masereka, a resident of Kidodo Cell, was reduced to ashes in a bid to enforce quality control measures. The incident occurred today after the surveillance team notified Mr. Bukanywa of unripe coffee being sold in the area. Upon arrival, he found the coffee and warned that he would work with the police to apprehend anyone found selling unripe coffee, citing the Coffee Act. Mr. Bukanywa also announced plans to convene a meeting with local council authorities and coffee buyers to sensitize them on the importance of purchasing high-quality coffee. AHRC FOUNDER MARKS BIRTHDAY WITH TREE PLANTING INITIATIVE

Kasese, Uganda - Bwambale Moses Bohya, founder of the African Heritage Research Center (AHRC) and teacher at Trinity Vocation SSS, celebrated his birthday today with a tree planting exercise to promote environmental conservation. Bohya led the exercise at Trinity Vocation SSS, where approximately 100 trees were planted. He also donated 2000 trees to local farmers to promote reforestation efforts. In another gesture of environmental stewardship, Bohya donated a dustbin to help mitigate plastic pollution. "Every day is a birthday, and if we all planted trees on our birthdays, we would have planted 8.2 billion trees by now," Bohya emphasized. According to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Jane Ngelese, the officer in charge of the Family Care Protection Unit Kasese Central Police, the child only speaks Lunganda and cannot provide information about his home or family. KASESE, UGANDA - FEBRUARY 8, 2025 Yosinta Bakunzi, 80, is in a difficult situation at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Kasese District. She was hit by a speeding car on February 6 at Majengo Trading Center and broke her leg. The problem is that Ms. Bakunzi has no money to pay for her treatment. She also has no relatives in the area to help her, and her landlord is threatening to evict her from her home. A well-wisher, Mr. Rashid, is asking for help for Ms. Bakunzi.
