Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu has Launched a Kit for the Omusinga Birthday Run, scheduled for November 14.

The kits are priced as follows: Ordinary Kit at UGX 25,000, Corporate Kit at UGX 50,000, Cape at UGX 15,000, and Bottle at UGX 15,000. Rwenzururu subjects are encouraged to purchase them. Hon. Baritazale Benson Kule, the Prime Minister of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu, launched the kit and announced that the funds collected will support the kingdom’s radio station and the One-Stop Center Cultural Tourism Village. Rwenzori Marathon, set for August 22, 2026, is gearing up for a major international push, with its 2026 marketing campaign launching in Nairobi, Kenya, the week of September 26, 2025, announced Amos Wekesa, Team Leader of Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon  Targeting the international running community that plans a year in advance, the campaign aims to position Uganda’s premier marathon on the global stage. “An international marathon needs a blend of international and local marketing strategies,” Wekesa emphasized.  “Uganda is competing with neighbors sporting Arsenal T-shirts; we can’t just talk to ourselves.” The local marketing focus will intensify in May and June 2026, while efforts now also support the Gulu City Marathon, set for December 6, 2025. Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu Honors First King Isaya Mukirania Kibanzanga I at Bulemba Historical Site

Some Kingdom Leaders and Other Subjects spent a day at a site which is located in Ihandiro Sub County where they respected and prayed for Isaya Mukirinia. Isaya Mukirania Kibanzanga I (1924–September 2, 1966) was a Ugandan teacher and political activist who led the Rwenzururu movement, a rebellion against the Tooro Kingdom and the central government of Uganda.  He is revered as the founder of the Kingdom of Rwenzururu and its first self-proclaimed Omusinga (King), reigning from the Rwenzori Mountains from 1962 until his death on September 2, 1966. In a speech read by Nzaghali Muhindo Noah, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu, the reigning Omusinga Charles Wesley Mumbere noted that Isaya Mukirania played a significant role in the revolution of the Rwenzururu Kingdom, alongside others who supported the kingdom’s establishment. The event, scheduled for November 14, 2025, has generated significant excitement among the youth, who have been creating and sharing viral graphics and digital content on social media. In a statement, the kingdom's Ministry of Information, Mobilization & Spokespersonship expressed heartfelt appreciation to the vibrant youth of Rwenzururu for their overwhelming enthusiasm, creativity, and initiative in support of the event.
