Kasese Junior Soccer Academy secured their first win in the District League Football Competition, defeating Soweto Kobs 3-2.  Kasese Junior Soccer Academy Playing Soweto Kobs SC, ( Tonny Mumbere with a ball) The match showcased the talent of young players, including Tawabu Jafali Masereka, who scored the winning goal for Kasese Junior SC. Masereka, a student at Saad Memorial Secondary School, has a proven track record, having been awarded top scorer in two previous tournaments: Eid Cup 2013 and Kanyangeya Premier League Cup. MESSIAH RADIO LISTENERS CLUB RAISES 40M FOR SKILLING CENTER

KASESE DISTRICT MOURNS THE LOSS OF PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION CHAIRPERSON

Kasese, Uganda - The Kasese District is in mourning following the sudden passing of Mr. Lawrence Turuganya, the Chairperson of the Public Service Commission for Kasese District. Mr. Turuganya's death was confirmed by Kasese District Chairman, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi, after he collapsed at his home in Ibanda and was pronounced dead at Afya Medical Centre in Kasese. Deceased  Mr. Lawrence Turuganya Mr. Turuganya was a dedicated public servant who had a significant impact on the community. He was also the former chairperson of the laity council for Ibanda Catholic Parish in the Diocese of Kasese and a retired Kasese Municipal Education officer. His contributions to the district will be deeply missed. The community is shocked and saddened by his sudden passing, and his legacy will live on through the lives he touched. May he rest in peace. KARAMBI YOUNG FC DISQUALIFIED FROM BIG4 TOURNAMENT - KASESE

  Kasese, Uganda - In a shocking move, Karambi Young FC, also known as "The Cats", has been disqualified from the 2024 BIG4 tournament due to unsporting behavior on the field of play. The decision was made during a closed-door meeting at Elite Peak Motel in Mpondwe Lhubiriha Town Council, Kasese, on November 22nd, 2024. The BIG4 tournament executive has enforced a zero-tolerance policy towards unsporting behavior, resulting in the disqualification of Karambi Young FC. "We will not tolerate any unsporting behavior in this tournament," said the BIG4 administrator. Kasese, Uganda - KASEVENI Abdullah, affectionately known as "Onyango", is making a name for himself as a talented young goalkeeper in the Kasese District. The 16-year-old, who was born on February 8th, 2008, in Kyanduli, Bwera, has already achieved an impressive list of career milestones. Onyango's passion for football began at a young age, and he has since honed his skills through various training programs and tournaments. Onyango's achievements include winning the gold medal and trophy in the Kasese District 4th Division League with Happy Kickers in 2023. He was also named the best goalkeeper in the U-10 Idd Tournament in Bwera in 2015/16 and has led his teams to silver medals in the Go Back to School Tournament and the Ntungumu U-14 Tournament.
